Services Provided
The Self Book Publisher is a professional ghostwriting, editing, design, and publishing service. Services may include, but are not limited to
  • imgGhostwriting and manuscript creation
  • imgEditing and proofreading
  • imgBook cover design and illustrations
  • imgMotion graphics and book trailers
  • imgeBook and print publishing
  • imgBook coaching and consulting
  • imgMarketing and promotional support
Services are provided on a project basis and are customized to the client’s specific requirements.
Eligibility
By engaging our services, you represent and warrant that
  • img You are at least 18 years of age;
  • img You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in the United States.
  • img The content you provide does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights, privacy, or any legal rights of third parties.
Project Agreement and Payment
A written agreement or proposal outlining project scope, deliverables, timeline, and fees must be accepted by both parties before commencement of services.
Payments are due according to the schedule specified in the project agreement. This may include
  • imgInitial deposit or upfront payment
  • imgMilestone payments based on project progress
  • imgFinal payment upon delivery of completed work
Accepted payment methods include major credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and other payment platforms as agreed upon.
Late payments may incur additional charges or delay project delivery.
Intellectual Property
Ownership of Work: Upon receipt of full payment, the client retains ownership of the final manuscript, designs, illustrations, or other deliverables.
Ghostwriting Rights: The Self Book Publisher retains the right to use anonymized or portfolio samples for marketing purposes unless explicitly restricted in writing by the client.
Third-Party Materials: Clients must ensure that any third party content or material provided does not infringe upon copyright or intellectual property rights.
Confidentiality
The Self Book Publisher maintains strict confidentiality regarding client content and personal information. This includes
  • imgProtecting all materials shared by the client
  • imgNot disclosing manuscript content, ideas, or project details without prior written consent
  • imgSigning Non Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) upon request.
Clients are expected to maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary methods or unpublished content provided by The Self Book Publisher.
Revisions and Modifications
  • imgRRevisions are included in the scope of work as outlined in the project agreement.
  • imgAdditional revisions outside the agreed scope may incur extra fees.
  • imgSignificant changes requested after project completion may require a new agreement or addendum.
Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for
  • imgProviding accurate and complete information and content for the project
  • imgResponding promptly to communications regarding project progress
  • imgEnsuring that submitted content does not violate any laws, infringe on copyrights, or contain defamatory material.
Failure to fulfill these responsibilities may result in project delays or termination.
Delivery and Timelines
  • imgProject timelines are estimated and depend on the client providing necessary information and approvals in a timely manner.
  • imgThe Self Book Publisher is not liable for delays caused by client inaction, revisions beyond scope, or unforeseen circumstances.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Clients may cancel a project in writing.
Refund eligibility depends on project status
  • imgBefore work begins: Full refund minus any nonrefundable fees.
  • imgAfter work has commenced, refunds are prorated based on work completed.
Nonrefundable deposits or fees are clearly indicated in the project agreement.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The Self Book Publisher provides professional services and guidance; however, we do not guarantee specific sales, earnings, or success from publishing efforts.
We are not responsible for
  • imgErrors in content resulting from client provided materials
  • imgLegal issues arising from copyright infringement by client provided content
  • imgAny indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to services provided
Maximum liability for any claim will not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific service.
Indemnification
Clients agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Self Book Publisher, its employees, contractors, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, or costs arising from
  • imgViolation of intellectual property or privacy rights
  • imgUse of services for unlawful purposes
  • imgMisrepresentation of provided materials
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Illinois. Any disputes arising from the use of services or agreements will be resolved in the state or federal courts located within Illinois, USA.
Modifications to Terms
The Self Book Publisher reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of major changes, and continued use of services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
